Psychological First Aid (PFA) is an evidence-based, recommended approach to assisting people in the immediate aftermath of trauma, presenting a targeted intervention and support to those responsible for managing the critical incident response and/or managing those employees who have been affected by a traumatic incident.

Those trained in Psychological First Aid (PFA) will better understand the impacts of trauma and the most effective strategies to help peers recover, ensure safety, emotional comfort and support, and offer practical advice to meet immediate needs.

This session has been designed for a range of frontline professionals and community volunteers, including peer support officers, first responders, crisis response team members, and workplace managers and supervisors.
