WorkSafe Approved 5 Day HSR Training: Face to Face
To exercise powers and rights as an HSR effectively, it is important that HSRs (and if applicable), any deputy HSR (DHSR) receive training. This will provide HSRs with the skills, knowledge and confidence to represent the members of their DWG.
What You Will Learn:
The initial course is delivered over five days. This can be delivered over five consecutive days, or spread over a longer time with training delivered in ‘blocks’ of time no less than one day in duration. In this interactive five day course, you will learn:
- interpret the occupational health and safety legislative framework and its relationship to the HSR
- identify key parties and their legislative obligations and duties
- establish representation in the workplace
- participate in consultation and issue resolution
- represent designated work group members in any OHS risk management process undertaken by the appropriate duty holder
- issue a provisional improvement notice (PIN) and direct the cessation of work

Participant Information:
- You will receive your HSR hard copy manual at the scheduled course.
- Note pads, pens and handouts are all provided during the five day course

- Refund Policy: Refund requests need to be made at least 10 business days prior to the scheduled course date. After this period, the full fee becomes payable. Alternatively, a rescheduling request may be submitted (fees apply).
- Rescheduling: Requests for rescheduling must be submitted a minimum of 10 business days before the scheduled course date to avoid any charges. A rescheduling fee of $450 plus GST will be applied otherwise.
- Session Postponement: In the unlikely event that WorkPlace Interventions needs to postpone a session, all registered participants affected by the postponement will have the option to transfer their registration to the next available session or select an alternative date.
- Acceptance of Terms: When you purchase this course, you recognise (including requesting an invoice) that it constitutes a formal commitment to the booked ticket. The 10-business-day refund and rescheduling policy will apply.
