Course Overview: Standard Mental Health First Aid for the Workplace
This course goes beyond basic awareness, equipping participants with structured skills to identify and respond to mental health needs in the workplace. By using the MHFA framework (ALGEE), participants learn how to approach situations with empathy, offer effective support, and navigate sensitive conversations. This program also equips MHFAiders with essential strategies to actively support their own wellbeing while fulfilling this high-support role.

- Self-Paced eLearning: Complete 4–6 hours of eLearning modules at your own pace, designed to prepare you for the interactive live sessions.
- Hard Copy MHFA Manual: Receive a hard copy MHFA manual delivered to your preferred address, offering a valuable resource to support your ongoing learning and practical application of MHFA skills.
- Live Zoom Sessions: Participate in two dynamic, facilitator-led Zoom sessions (2.5 hours each), where you’ll apply your knowledge to real-world workplace scenarios.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will have the ability to:
- Recognise early signs of mental health challenges and respond appropriately.

- Understand mental health risk factors and available resources.
- Practise self-care techniques to maintain resilience as Mental Health First Aiders.

Upon course completion, participants become Accredited Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders), with certification valid for three years.

Terms and Conditions
- Refund Policy: Refund requests must be submitted at least 10 business days before the course. After this, the full fee is non-refundable, with a $180 + GST rescheduling fee.
- Rescheduling: Requests made within 10 business days of the course date incur a $150 + GST fee.
- Session Postponement: If WPI postpones a session, participants can transfer to the next available date or select an alternative.
- Acceptance of Terms: Requesting an invoice confirms commitment to the booking, and the 10-business-day cancellation/rescheduling policy applies.
- Refund Deductions: If materials (manual or eLearning) have been sent, their cost will be deducted from any refund.
- MHFA eLearning Access: eLearning access is limited to one participant per registration. Additional access, if needed, is $110 + GST per MHFA Australia rate.
