Specifically, this advanced program provides individuals and organisations with an in-depth understanding of PFA concepts and evidence-informed practices to improve workplace support for individuals following a traumatic event.
As a participant, you will review and use a targeted PFA model: RAPID-(reflective listening, assessment, prioritisation, intervention and disposition), focusing on the injuries and potential trauma, suicide intervention and the role of compassion and self-care.
This program encompasses five self-paced sections designed for workplaces to improve the organisational response to trauma-related events such as critical incidents or cumulative work duties resulting in trauma.
The program is made up of the following five topics.
• The History of Psychological First Aid
• Understanding Trauma
• Critical Incident Workplace Response
• Applying Psychological First Aid and Suicide Intervention
• Wellbeing for Psychological First Aiders
Upon course completion, participants will have access to a short five question multiple choice quiz and upon successful completion will be able to download their certificate.
