Designed to provide employers with an overview of the WIRC ACT 2013, this course will provide employers with the ‘must know’ of The Act, roles and responsibilities for key stakeholders, liability for workers compensation claims, claims settlement options and a review of common law entitlements associated with a claim as well as how to calculate workers compensation wages.
New starters in the industry will benefit from this session as it provides essential return to work and WorkCover information, including an overview of relevant legislation, employer and worker obligations.
If your role requires an understanding of Workers' Compensation at any level, this course will benefit you.

Important Participant Information
This program is delivered via flipped learning (1.5-2 hours of self-paced pre-course work followed by a 1.5 hours Zoom session).
One week before the scheduled course date participants will receive an email from our training department containing the link to the self-paced pre-course work and Zoom link with instructions.

Terms and Conditions
1- Cancellations or rescheduling requests can only be accepted up to ten business days before the scheduled course date; otherwise, the full fee is payable.
2-Rescheduling courses within ten business days of the scheduled course date will incur a cost of $100 plus GST.
3- In the unlikely event that WorkPlace Interventions needs to postpone a session, all registered participants affected by a cancellation or postponement will be offered the opportunity to transfer to the next available session or to choose an alternative date.
