Managing a Multi-Generational Workplace – 24 September

This first part will explore Millennial or people born between 1982 and 1993 who equate for a third of the workforce and will make up three-quarters of the world working population by 2025. Millennials are known for their loyalty to causes, dislike of traditional management approaches and job-hopping. The topics covered in this session include effective communication strategies with young people, risk-taking, managing inexperience, and improving decision making.
The second half of this session will analyse the implications of an ageing population as well as active management of and advantages that come with having an ageing workforce. Themes include adapting duties to suit an older employee, flexible work arrangements and the importance of injury prevention strategies.
